Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma, and Relationship Patterns That Feel Hard to Break

If you feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in repeating relationship dynamics, or impacted by past experiences that still show up in your life today, therapy can help you feel more grounded, connected, and in control.

I believe that therapy begins with a strong, trusting relationship. I strive to create a space that feels safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental — where you can show up as you are. I see you as the expert on your own life, and I approach each client with genuine curiosity and respect for your unique story. No two paths are the same, and our work together will be guided by your needs, experiences and goals.

FAQs

What can I expect for my first session?

The intake session is a thoughtful and structured space for us to begin getting to know one another. I’ll ask questions about what’s bringing you in now, along with your background, relationships, and life experiences. This helps me understand not only your current concerns, but also the experiences that have shaped who you are today.

What will it feel like to work with you?

I take a warm, relational approach to therapy, which means our sessions are active, engaged, and conversational rather than silent or observational (no long, awkward staring contests here). While I do make space for reflection and your own process, I’m also an active participant—offering input, guidance, and collaboration throughout.

How frequent are therapy sessions?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, which helps build consistency and momentum in the therapeutic process. Over time, the frequency can be adjusted based on your needs, goals, and what feels most supportive.

How long does therapy last?

Therapy is a personalized process centered around your needs and goals, and you will ultimately decide how long you would like to continue. Some clients benefit from short-term support focused on a specific concern, while others find greater value in longer-term work that allows for deeper healing and lasting change. The length of therapy will depend on your unique circumstances, preferences, and goals.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with Aetna and Cigna through Alma. If you have a different insurance plan, many policies offer out-of-network benefits, which may allow for partial reimbursement of therapy sessions. I can provide a monthly superbill (itemized receipt) for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

How do I find out if I have out of network benefits?

The best way to find out what your plan covers is to call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and ask the following questions:

Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

What is my out-of-network deductible?

  • Ask how much of it you’ve already met and how claims are applied to it.

What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed after I meet my deductible?

Is there a maximum allowable amount or reimbursement cap per session?
